Hello,

I have some issues with my fairly new pc. Occasionally whilst playing a game, my game freezes, but everything else still responds. However I can literally do nothing, because my frozen game overlaps evrything except for my hotbar. I can start new programs but I can’t see them because my screen overlaps. I can also not shut down my game, so I am forced to restart my computer.

This only occurs with games.

When the freeze happens I can still hear everything from the game and I can still shoot.

I don’t know if this has anything to do with this but sometimes when my processor is at 100% my mouse isn”t smooth anymore and it stutters.

I have already tried multiple things:

- cleanig my hardware with a compressed aircan.

-scanning for failures

-cleaning my ssd and hdd with multiole tools, like ccleaner.

-reinstalling all my drivers

-performing temperature tests

-replacing my ram in different slots

my specs are:

gtx1060 6gb from MSI

intel i5 7500

8gb ram ballistix sport ddr4 2400

stock cooler

asrock b250m performance

phanteks p400 tempered glass (I thought maybe the tempered glass can play a role with airflow problems? At this stage anything might olay a role...

cooler master 500w psu

one ssd 250gb from sandisk

one hdd wd blue 1tb (installed 2 days ago)

Could be the cpu throttling, what do you mean with tempature tests?

First of all thank you for your reply!

What should I do now to solve the cpu throttling?

I have done a stress test of half an hour and the temperature stayed low. And when the game froze right after when I restarted I looked up my temperature and it stayed low.
