I've already made a thread about MSI afterburner not giving constant numbers where i gave up and installed EVGA precision X which is fine but... i opened it back up to do some light tuning on my laptop and it said my card was at negative 21Ghz (not physically possible,) is it safe to set it back to +260Mhz (where i start loosing stability)?

If the card performs normally, I wouldn't mess with it at all and attribute it to a bug in the software.

After all, you can't exactly run a component at negative gigahertz....

The offset is not the literal value. If the gpu has a stock value of 1500mhz and you say gpu clock offset +100 then the gpu clock will run at 1600mhz. If you say -1400mhz you are effectively forcing the gpu to run at only 100mhz. I'm not sure why your particular value is able to go that low though.

Seems like you need to reinstall it at it isn't showing any numbers. Or theres an issue with something else running that's causing it to run funny.

Dude, I've been having non-stop issues trying to overclock this laptop, i haven't been about to recreate this issue, but when i tried Afterburner it couldn't show consistent temps...

Wouldn't bother ocing it as its only gonna get worse. But Getting al old version of precisionx would be the best bet. Either before that version of the mgpu was released or shortly after.
