So what is troubling me is that I'm going to buy this second hand because I don't have money for a new one and it's going to cost me 120$ in my country, the issue is the laptop can turn on only if the charge is connected it isn't a battery issue / charger issue he said it is a driver issue when he updated his OS it won't charge anymore so thoughts? prayers? suggestions? I really need a laptop to code in school so Yeah.

See if your school offers student redfunds. O buy a different cheap laptop.

@Pengich It's probably just a dead battery, witch are not that expensive to replace. That being said why bothered with a laptop like this - there are a lot of android compilers or web ones - if you have decent phone just get a Bluetooth keyboard and you are set.

Well we're not really allowed to use phones so that isn't an option he said got the battery replaced and charger replaced so I don't know what the problem is

Definitely sounds like a dead battery. At least you know the charger is fine if it's powering on while it's plugged in. Also, people lie about stuff so unless you know it's a new battery, assume they are lying.
