Hey guys so i just built a pc and i used a lovely thermaltake h22 versa special edition. I really like the case and it keeps growing on me. It comes with 4 fans and leds at the front. I am having trouble with cable management however. My psu isnt modular and i have to deal with those extra cables. I am able to fit them in the back panel that they provide for cable management. I am having trouble with the rest of the cables though. I dont know what to do with them. Can i put some behind the mobo maybe? It would be really helpful if someone could provide pics of their cable management in the h22 versa special edition so i can get an idea. Thanks! Also just another question, is there a way to get a splitter for more fans as i have 4 but only have 3 ports on my mobo. Thanks!

Well if your PSU cables can be managed behind the Motherboard whats the issue with the "other cables"?

What are you "other cables"

You can take a look at all these builds people did with the same case

even those with non-modular PSUs seem to be able have a tidy pc

What are your specs? Can you post a photo of the front and back of the case?

Have you tried removing the rear side panel yet?

Depending on how clean you're aiming to get the cables, there are a few different routes to go with.

To begin with, you should layer cables in an order of 'least likely to be accessed' to 'the most accessed'. Cables like front i/o cables should be underneath everything else if cables are to be overlapped and you should avoid twisting cables together when possible.

Hopefully, these illustrations won't be too confusing nor intimidating.

Instead of leaving the front i/o cables at the front, you can first route the bundle of cables through the top cutout to the back of the motherboard tray. There, you can route the usb 3.0 cables to the 3rd cutout down and the rest underneath in the large opening. Back to the front of the case, you can plug them into their respective connectors.

For the psu cables, route all the used cables through the large opening to the right of the psu to the rear of the motherboard tray. The rest of the unused cables can be bundled together. Either tie them to the bottom of the case if you can find any points to ziptie to. You can otherwise leave them sitting next to the psu.

The 24pin can go into the 2nd cutout from the rear and plug into the motherboard. The pcie cable can go through the 3rd cutout and into the graphics card. Now's a good time to tie the 24pin and usb 3.0 cables together with a ziptie. Make sure it's not too tight. This is especially helpful for the fragile usb 3.0 header to be attached to the sturdier 24pin cable. The EPS cable can be done in 1 of 2 ways. Drawn in magenta, you can route through the back of the case and through the cutout that's not-so-conveniently placed behind the motherboard and plug it into the motherboard (This will require unscrewing at least 3 screws from the motherboard to fit the cable through the gap). Alternatively and drawn in pink, you can route the cable through the front of the motherboard tray to begin with by routing it underneath the gap under the graphics card that's to the left of the pcie slot on the motherboard.

This gap:

You can pretty easily plug in the pcie cable after that.

Once you're done, it should be pretty easy to tie together the trunk of cables at the back near the cutouts.

The sata cables can also be neater if you tie the bundle behind or near the drives instead of leaving them in the pile at the front.

You can get fan splitters at just about any pc hardware store: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812423163&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Cables+-+Internal+Power+Cables-_-N82E16812423163&gclid=Cj0KCQiAvrfSBRC2ARIsAFumcm9Byk-8n4VGv2v6lgfp_RTNPbchbUH8M9OnBU0ao6GxTDBAt6vIwj4aAjnYEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Let me know if anything needs to be clarified.

How can I fit the eps cable behind the Mobo? There doesn't seem to be a gap for it to go through at the top. The Mobo is flush with the case top.

It squeezes between the board and motherboard tray in the gap caused by the standoffs. You have to route it through the hole before the motherboard is mounted.
