You don't need an amp on top of a soundcard, that's just silly.  Buy some different sounding headphones instead.

I own Audio Technica ATHM50's and an I have an Asus DGX sound card in my gaming rig. I really want to bring out my FLAC music files so would a Mayflower Objective2 headphone amp help that/would these 3 products work well together? I don't know much about audio yet. Thanks!

Considering you have an internal soundcard that has an amp built in, you really don't need the mayflower amp.  The best option would be their DAC and an amp only if you felt like your max volume wasn't loud enough or you could hear static at the sound levels you wanted to use the headphones at.  Considering your love of music, look at a pair of Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros or a some 558s or 598s.

For the M50s?  Just use onboard unless it's audibly noisy or something.  Us crazy people with the planar headphones and AKG K7s need amps to get our drivers loud enough.  Most modern low impedance headphones are made to work with iPods, so onboard is really no sweat.  Soundcards really aren't bad, they're just old (obsolete), and modern headphones like the M50s don't play well with them anymore.

"Pardon my French but this is just about the most ignorant blanket statement I've ever read. And though this is the internet, I'm not even exaggerating."
