Please help! X99 6800k with NVMe

Hey guys, I need help, so I recently just upgraded my boot drive to a 500 GB 960 Evo from a HyperX 120GB SSD on my current rig (three days ago) and I'm noticing a lot of hang-ups/ several delayed responses/non-responsive software. How do I fix this?

For Reference, I tried firing up GTA 5 for the first time since install, and the game has severe stuttering. Even though its the only game I installed on the NVMe drive. Also my task manager becomes unresponsive when trying to close it out.

P.S. Also just started using one of the UEFI suggested overclock speeds.

Did you clone your OS over to the new drive or did you do a fresh install? Have you made sure to install all bios updates. When that board was originally released support for nvme was not as widespread as it is now.

Also, how full is that drive.  Is it just windows on it or did you throw some games and whatnot.  Usually a good idea to leave 20 percent or so of breathing space.

I did a fresh install for the nvme but a lot of my old files were still on the HDD. And I have the latest bios and downloaded the 960 evo drivers off of samsung's website.

It isn't even close to full. I installed GTA 5 and maybe PUBG on it but thats it.
