So I recently purchased an Antlion ModMic 4.0, to replace my Blue Snowball iCE.

I wished to use my headphones but not have a big clunky boom arm, so I searched for the best clip on style mic.

My issue is that when recording with the microphone, there is a constant hissing (*screeeeee*) noise.

I have tried to plug it into both the front and back but the issue still persists.

Videos on Youtube are leading to an USB soundcard, but I have no knowledge of that area.

If anyone knows how to fix this or what is the best USB soundcard, please reply, thank you!

Hello @Crimvos!

Sorry you're having some problems with our mic. The short answer is: A USB is going to solve this problem. Basically your Snowball is a USB mic. Since ours is analog by default, it requires a more clean input. A USB adapter fixes this and should make it perform on par with your Snowball (if not better).

We either recommend our own USB or the Syba CM-UAUD, which uses the same chipset (and is often cheaper).
