Upgrade choice help

I currently have a Pentium 3220,8gb of ddr3 memory and a GT 630 2GB Video Card,i currently have in mind to buy a GTX 1060 3GB and a new power supply,but i thought getting tips and recommendations from more experienced people would be better! I'm planning to play games on the pc,any new AAA titles and other more indie games.

yes you need a new graphics card and 1060 3gb has superior value for an affordable card, but the CPU will need to go soon as well.

I know,planning to either get a i5 from the same generation or get a I3 CoffeLake in the future.

if you are getting brand new CPU, go for Ryzen instead. It's much cheaper for what it offers.

Work with your budget. figure out what architecture you going to and get the MB then CPU, then GPU, unless you already have the money.

Getting a 1060 is a good idea, even if it is currently bottlenecked by the rest of your system (unsure if it will or won't be). A new PSU isn't a bad idea either. I would suggest not "cheaping out" on a PSU. On my experience, getting a good power supply is a worthy investment. I also noticed that you mentioned you were planning on upgrading the rest of your hardware. Since the PSU (should) and the GPU will be compatible with the next system, it is a good idea to purchase those two items, before you get others.
