Living room project

Hi guys,

 

I'm looking to make a living room PC, which has to fit beside my sony media center.

I'm trying to build this PC out of old parts and components that I have.

So here's a list of stuff I have lying around:

 

• Core2Quad: Q9450
• Corsair 650W full size PSU (I think working?)
• Random harddrives (2x 3,5" 350gb)
• 1 samsung 120gb ssd
• 4x2GB DDR2 800MHz memory
• Quadro 400 GPU (Displayport output)
• Quadro 580 FX GPU (Displayport output)
• Displayport to HDMI cable
• 40" HDMI TV.

Would love to build it in mini ITX or Micro ATX.

 

Any ideas/tips/tricks are welcome.

Please don't tell me just to upgrade to newer hardware, as I want to use the old junk lying around It IS still a Quad Core cpu, should do decent.

Model name of PSU?

 

For the form factor, it depends on what motherboards you can find in the used market. Make sure it uses DDR2 as well.

 

Also find a CPU cooler that fits.

 

Then it's just the matter of putting all these in a case (or not) and connect all the cables.

Oh I seems to have an old stock cpu cooler, so I think I've got that covered.

PSU I think is a TX650?
