I just bought Just Cause 3 because it was on sale on steam, and I've been messing around with my Nvidia settings because I've been noticing microstuttering and low framerates which shouldn't be happening because I am running it at 4k on a 1080ti FE, and upon investigation i found that my memory usage was almost completely maxed out, I researched and found that it was something called memory leaking, and it told me how to fix it by going into RegEdit and changing a value and restarting, when I restarted my pc the ram usage returned to normal, but when I started JC3 back up again the same thing happend, I went back into regedit to see if the value changed and it hadnt, so it remembered the change I made to fix the memory leak, but the usage was still close to maxed out. I screen capped a little gameplay to show you the microstutter and I have all my settings and programs Im using below as well, one thing to note is that I read somewhere that it can help if you keep vsync off in-game and use fastsync in NCP and then enable 3x buffering and to cap the framerate to 60 in Rivatuner statistics server. It helped a lot, but the video I captured was with those changes already made. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also this is happening in other games to a smaller degree, like Gta 5 and Minecraft.

As per usual my full build is in my signature.

The video/thread I used to help fix the mem leak: https://steamcommunity.com/app/234140/discussions/0/527274088387871203/

Since you're also using a web browser at the same time, I recommend that you at least upgrade your machine to 12GB of RAM. Because with only 8GB I was having the same problem as well, and when I finally found+installed my 3rd and eventually 4th 4GB stick of RAM I no longer had any issues with running out of it.

try using task manager and checking if theres any app eating your memory,if thats not the case,my educated guess would be that theres some sort of malware on your pc

Nothing is eating my memory, the only thing open that is demanding is chrome and I have no malware

your task manager screenshot is odd. 96% of RAM used and JC3 main .exe using only 400MB ? no way.

Download Process explorer from microsoft website.

Close every program in background except for process explorer and the game itself.

Launch JC3 play until you fill your RAM.

post a screenshot of process explorer showing used ram for every process. (if it takes many screenshots then take your time and post them all.

Should look something like this:

image.png.87a42fdf1b1bd0812af9560b646a9ff3.png

It can be a bad combination of programs trying to hook the game main process.
