Laptop display upgrade question.

Hi, 

Is it possible to replace a 768p laptop screen that works with a 1 channel 6-bit 40pin LVDS connector with a 1080p one, working with a 2channel LVDS 40pin?

The 768p is destroyed, so a new screen has to be bought, so might as well upgrade it. 

 

The laptop in question is a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 15 0301FFG.
