Need a new headset.

  • Optimal Budget ($200)
  • Aim - Gaming, music and lots of movies
  • What style would you like? Closed (completely encase the ear, open (sit on the ear) or buds (go into the ear)
  • I Have a sound card already
  • Microphone required? Yes.

I'm looking for something really comfortable i had a Logitech G930 before didn't really like it wasn't very comfortable and broke easily.

Thanks

I have the Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 250ohm version and they are awesome, very comfortable, closed and very good soundstage. Very good for music but they do have more bass than other headphones, so if you hate lows then dont go for them, but if you do enjoy them then its soooo goood!

If your soundcard doesnt have an amplifier then get the 80ohm version, if it does then 250ohm is perfect ( Ive a Xonar STX and they sound amazing )

EDIT: Just saw you wanted a mic too, but since they are cheaper then 200$ you could get a clip on mic and just attach it on the cable of the headphones

Maybe I have particularly sensitive ears but I think my 250Ohm DT990 PROs sound just fine on all the portable players and onboard cards I've ever tried them on. I really wonder if most people even listen to their headphones much above the 85 dB level on average. You get a much better damping factor at 250Ohms, anyways.

Don't start with me about "impact" either.

"Pardon my French but this is just about the most ignorant blanket statement I've ever read. And though this is the internet, I'm not even exaggerating."
