SDRAM vs DRAM

Okay fine, I got that much from googling, but is there a real performance difference vs regular ddr4 and/or compatibility issues with ryzen?
Basically is it more worth spending about $30-40 more for some g.skill or corsair ram instead?

If the specs are the exact same, then no.

Hey peeps!
When looking for some ram to complete my new computer builds with all the prices going way above what used to be normal I actually came across a set of 16gb sdram that were about 25% cheaper than the standard Corsair Vengeance LPX and such. This got me thinking: Is there a compatibility issue/real performance loss when buying sdram vs regular dram?

For context I'm using Ryzen 5 1600 for my new build and the said memory is Hyper X Predator Black 3000MHz.

SDRAM is DRAM. Someone was lazy and forgot an extra letter.

If someone wants to be technical, the "S" in "SDRAM" means synchronous. Which all that means is there's a clock signal driving things in a periodic rate. For all intents and purposes, all RAM for PCs has been SDRAM since the 2000s, with the exception of RDRAM that Intel went with for a year or so before realizing that was a mistake.
