I went on Windows 10 and did a clean restart and it got to 12% and froze and my hhd some times makes a clicking noise how to fix

First, how was your performance before the re-install?  Was slow performance why you did it?

 

Secondly, is the clicking rhythmic?  In other words, does it click the same way at similar intervals?  One click every 2 seconds, for example.

 

If the answer to both of those questions is Yes, then your hard drive is probably failing.  It's time for a new drive.

 

If no, then it could be another issue, and then we can give you steps to troubleshoot further.

Sounds like a dying HDD. Get that replaced soon

Restart becuase biulding a new pc and yes on clicking

It does it for about 2 min every 2 sec every 10 to 15 min

The noise is the heads of the drive hitting the spindle in the center of the drive or the heads bouncing off the rest point where they sit when the drive is shut down and the heads park.  Drive is toast.

That noise is from the hard drive failing.

Then did a master reset and this happend

(by the way, unplug the failing HDD completely when you plug in the new disk to reinstall windows. only plug it back in once you get it installed and shut down your PC. remember to reboot to the new HDD)

 

if you don't want this to happen to your new HDD next time, budget for an SSD instead.

Don't really think you should use it like this.

It could die very soon.

If you have any important data on it you should just back it up right now when you still can.
