great way to destroy your loop.

not to mention a waste of butter

How do Reavers clean their spears?

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

Just from a thermodynamics standpoint, this would be difficult to get started.  The butter would have to be above 35c to even become liquid.  You'd have to pre-heat the entire loop + radiator, or you'd risk blowing your CPU from the "coolant" not flowing at all.

Would be funny to watch, but not very practical lol.

Not good when Idle temps are <35c, you'd have to leave your CPU running a stress test 24/7.

I'm not sure the pump would be very happy with that, it blows and then the cpu would still be done for

i ment have a seperate heating element, so it detects when the butter is too cold and puts energy into it to heat it

Haha!!  Yep, let's add heat to a system for removing heat!  Brilliant!  Seems counter productive from every angle.

Would still be a fun video to do and laugh at.

only heat it to a certin point, car oil is used for cooling and it needs to warm up for it to be effective

nah, I'm fairly sure zombienerd has it right, butters not gonna flow as well as water, and when you're cooking you're probably doing it well above 35c

If you want to have something 'exotic' or 'unique' then just go for Sub zero phase change cooling or Submerge your PC into a tank of mineral oil..

If butter was even remotely better than water then a lot of people would have incorporated that into their builds and manufacturers would even add a 'butter friendly' option.

No to mention that if you just left the butter there then it would go rancid and can possibly clog your loop.

You're just asking for trouble.

Listen to @zombienerd and @Cyracus, they know what they're talking about.

Just because they're "old news" doesn't mean they don't work.

I've seen people put milk, juice, car coolant, etc in their loops but it almost always ended badly and didn't perform even marginally better than water.

Your loop is designed for distilled water, unless the manufacturer says otherwise. Adding something that has minerals in it, like normal tap water, can ruin your corrode your parts.. it might not happen instantly, but it will, eventually, happen.
