Is It Perfect?

Swap the cooler for an H5 or Mugen 5. Same or better performance for a lower cost.

Swap the motherboard for a cheaper one. The Prime A or Extreme4 are good mid-high range options, and the SLI Plus ist usually available for a bit less, while not being crap.

Swap that Hynix kit for a cheaper one, or spend $5 more to get a much better Samsung B-die kit.

You might want more storage for video editing.

Swap the 1080 for a cheaper one. The Asus Strix has a better cooler, but since the 1080 is a 180W card, you're fine with a lower end 2-fan card. The EVGA SC is available for $540.

That case has pretty bad airflow. Consider the Meshify C.

$80 is actually a really good price for that PSU. The Focus Plus Gold 650W is available for $10 less, but won't be as quiet.

You can get a Windows key from Reddit or Kinguin for $25.

Hallo, I need help with choosing parts for my new computer!

I need help with reducing the price to about 1600 dollars. It's for gaming and editing. If you have some tips and improvements please reply!

Thank You!

Current Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/PlzGivMonej/saved/zvZjcf

Are you OCing? What kind of games are you playing? What is your gaming resolution at and targeted FPS? Would you be willing to go for a 1600x for better editing and slight drop in FPS? (according to this) The 1080 you have is a little pricey for not much of a gaming improvement over say the EVGA SC ($40 less).

If you switch to an AMD you can get a B350 and save $100 on MOBO. If the games you play won't benefit from more ram maybe save a $100 and go for 8 GB at Single channel rather then dual for future work upgrade.  If you stick with Intel go for a lower memory speed RAM. Intel has performed really well with lower frequency RAM. Get a Windows 10 Key from Kinguin. That's where I got mine and I got the buyer protection (a must) and haven't had an issue with it.

You will want mass storage as well for your editing work, go for a Seagate Barricuda drive or a WD Blue/Black at 2+ TB's. The PSU you have is a good choice but do you want to spend the premium for the fully modular aspect? Unless you do a cable mod with different colors go for a Semi-Modular PSU. You will save some money or get a better PSU for the same price.

The front panel in your case may restrict airflow in your system, maybe look for one with a front mesh cover rather then a solid panel too.

Windows 10 OEM license does not permit use in a DIY build. Hence the more expensive full retail version.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

1. I'm not planning to overclock

2. I am playing games like CS GO, pubg, Battlefront 2 and skyrim and planning to get a 1440p monitor.

3. I'm not THAT into editing but it is a fun if you have nothing to do.

Thanks!

Don't get the extra CPUs with letters on them if you don't want to OC

What is your FPS target? Battlefront 2 will be your most demanding and the 1080 and 1070ti are within 3 FPS of each other. The 1070Ti may be a good substitute to save a few bucks.

Maybe go for the last gen CPU and get a non overclock able mobo too. Or if you have to wait for funds or something perhaps you can get a non-overclock mobo and keep that CPU.

Here's a computer build that I suggest.

Don't bother paying full price for Windows 10.

PM me and I'll give you a link where you can buy it far cheaper.
