So the seller who I bought a Sabertooth X58 board and an i7-950 from included "32GB" of RAM for free, but I'm having issues with it. First, it was only detecting 12GB. I tried switching slots and then it was reading 8GB. I pressed the MemOK button on my motherboard and after it did that I had 16GB. WTF? Any ideas what's happening? This is in the BIOS by the way, not in Windows. Thanks!

Its a triple channel board and only supports 24 gb... also is all the ram the same brand and frequency?

Try putting in less ram and mix and match to isolate the problem, see if its related to the specific DIMMs or the the slots they are going into?

You'll not get 32GB working on X58. Max was 24GB.

Just pick three DIMMs that are all the same (frequency and size) and use them.

I was sledding so I wasn't able to reply to you right away ;)

Turns out that after taking out the DIMMs and examining them, they were only 4GB sticks, not 8GB sticks. Therefore there's only 16GB of RAM. Thanks anyways guys :)
