i have an i7 2600 non k and i want to get something a little newer but a k model so i can overclock i was looking at an i5 3570k and a z77 motherboard but i have 250$ to get the motherboard and CPU not needing ram because i already have ddr3 so what would you recommend for an upgrade for me with my budget ( i have a gtx 770 2gb so something that would pair good with that and i play games like gta 5, pubg,overwatch)

if you have a 2600 then you better make sure that 3570k overclocks well, if you have to get a motherboard then just stay with the 2600, it's time to look at the z370 or it's not worth it.

i would push more balance to gpu, go for RX 480/GTX 1060 if you can or find used R9 390. But if you are really pushing to overclock the i5-3570K and z77 board bundle seems like a good thing

yes that CPU is basically still great, you will just need a better GPU (RX 480 if you can or to the 580)

ok i wasn't going to get the reference i want to get the gigabyte windforce but its triple fans wont fit in my case it needs to be dual fan

any strix solutions there? and i just read that the 780ti overclocks better than the R9 290 so if you can't find dual fan solution on R9 290 go back to i guess any 780ti from ASUS and EVGA (maybe MSI and Gigabyte too)
