I was all excited for a second, until I learned that this deal was US only but not denoted in the thread title. :( I am le disappointed.

it's not US only... I am from the UK and have the same deal.

Welp, then the original thread title should be updated for both UK and US locations. This is what I see when visiting the Steam page from Canada:

But that's OK, I'm so used to Canadians getting poor pricing on computer parts at this point that I'd rather just not upgrade until my computer dies. I just wish more people would follow the Hot Deals forum rules and put the country codes into the thread titles so less time was wasted discovering that deals don't apply worldwide.

I'm not going to limit the post to US/UK because I wouldn't know for sure if that's the case it could also be available around the World/Europe

I really thought Canadians were meant to be happy and nice but you sir on Christmas seem to have got off on the wrong foot. Are you okay?

Because as a consumer I expect better of the companies themselves. :D Then again, I know that's a bit much to expect.

I don't celebrate Christmas - instead I recognize Yuletide. But that's all good - as long as we're having holiday cheer then that's all that matters. :) Apologies if I came across as grumpy; I'm quite alright and firmly planted on both feet, and actually am thrilled that the UK and USA can pickup Steam Link's for such a crazy deal as they really do make wonderful game streaming solutions over a hardwired ethernet connection. I've got a few games I'd love to play on the big screen, but the way our house is setup it's not easily possible without running HDMI cables across the house, or ripping apart our drywall.

I really think we should see if LTT can implement a form or template to fillout when posting to the Hot Deals forum, where you can tick off the countries where you know the deal applies, and others can confirm or deny if the deals show up in their countries, as I do agree it's not really fair of anyone to expect the OP to know if a deal applies in other countries or not. It's not you @VillaiNPC - it's the lack of a proper solution for posting to Hot Deals. :) I wish you a happy holiday and merry new year! Er. Reverse those.

EDIT: I would like to happily report that EB GAMES (Gamestop Canada) has the Steam Link available at $5.99 here, assuming you can find one in stock :P https://www.ebgames.ca/PC/Games/720190/steam-link-hardware

I mean all they have to do is click the Steam link I provided and if it says it's not available for them then so be it. It's not exactly a lot of effort to click one link, if they want to dig deeper to see if they can get the deal in their Country then that's fine. But I see no reason for one to be complaining about it although I would like the feature you mentioned to be added.

It could be something on Amazon's end rather than Valve's. They can always give you a gift card or something towards the Link.
