$500 Build

TheCheese

I have been trying to build a new system for $500 (+/-$50) which can manage both productivity and gaming, I don't need accessories, just the tower.

Thanks.

a last-gen i5 would cost more while having a much worse upgrade path.

If I swap out the 1200 for a 1300X, that will still work well?

yeah but there's no need for that, overclock the 1200 and it'll perform the same.

Prices have changed alot since I started this build but if you are able to get used RAM and maybe even CPU you could save that $80.

Also Cooler is optional. I suggested the one above because it will look good in a tempered glass case.

I like the build but I would probably get a cheaper case and put the money towards a better cpu, and I noticed the the ssd is bit expensive, I found kingston ssds with the same capacity but for $49.99, but thanks
