Hello. I decided to join these forums because my questions usually go unanswered in the videos(like no answers from other subscribers either)

So the other day i had an accident with my current PC that is some shitty HP computer marketed as a good gaming pc and back then i didn't know any better so i went and fudging bought it and in reality the gaming power was pretty weak so i bought another gpu in it. Anyway after my accident i managed to salvage the HDD drive, my 8gb of low quality ram(doesn't even have those cool heatsink thingies so must be low guality), my optical drive, my GPU(which is an Radeon R7850 and i have another one too which i wanted to install there earlier to cross fire them but it was an mini itx board so no second PCIE slot and the damn PSU was probably too weak to support another gpu, so i was a total air head) and i managed to salvage my CPU (which is an intel i7 2600k and i checked my local component store and it still cost like 348€ and that is crazy because they sell i7 4770k with smaller price so i think that it can't be that bad).

Now due to aging pretty much all of my friends are turning to the consoles with this "next-gen" and how easy and comfortable it is and i have just grasped the magnificent world of PC gaming so i'm in no hurry to leave now that i have tasted the so called "sweet nectar of the forbidden fruit" that is better graphics and high frame rates and with unparking my cpu in BF4 i got turn my texture settings all the way from low to ultra and some other settings don't remember what anymore from low to high and it kept pretty much the same framerate which blew my mind, both the graphics AND the performance with the unparked cpu and one R7850 while the other gpu was collecting dust.

So now i have about 450$ in my pocket and i need a new:

Case

PSU(keep in mind i have 2 GPUs and in the future i'm looking to upgrade to something little more power consuming than two R7850s that both have only one 6 pin power "hole")

Motherboard(supporting X-fire and SLI and my i7 2600k cpu)

SSD(120gb)

8 gb of ram(i like making videos every now and then and i think another two 4gb chips would help in some extent with the rendering and stuff)

I'm also upgrading the OS from Win7 to Win8 but i didn't that to the count because i already have that one covered.

Since my knowledge is very limited, i would be very greatful to hear the recommendations of the great people here in LinusTechTips forums.

I live in Finland and i'm extremely hesitant to use online shopping places like amazon and such due to previous bad experiences with online shopping but i might be willing to take the risk of using them if some of the parts are a lot cheaper there.

Thank you in advance and i hope i hear from someone.

Sorry if this is in wrong section but i'm in hurry and didn't find a section for building PCs or help noobs with their shit.

Have a nice day.

Moi! Tervetuloa foorumille!

I have a few Finnish friends, one of them bought their PC stuff from http://www.jimms.fi/ they said "Jimms is cool"

So if you don't like the idea of getting stuff from International stores and having it shipped. That is a local store!

Thanks.

You know i actually used to live like under a mile away from their store, now i have about 10 minute drive. I have heard from people who has bought stuff from them that they have over pricing and that some of the workers doesn't know their "shit" but i sure will be shopping there anyway if they offer some components for a good price that i hear recommendations from this forum.

Are you certain the cpu works? And, are you certain it's an i7-2600K?

Yes it works and at least CPU-Z and my windows system check thingie(can't translate from my head) said its a i7 2600k

Ram doesn't need a heatsink. Even corsair or gskill have ram without heatsinks for the value section.

Brand doesn't matter as long as the ram is reliable and heatsinks are not needed unless you're heavily overvolting the ram.

Can you not figure out what the graphics card is? You can use something like cpu-z to figure out what it is.

A list of what your current specs are would help.

What shops are you using?

CPU: intel i7 2600k

GPU: Core radeon 7850, 860M, 2GB DDR5.(i have 2 of these but only 1 of them has been in use)

Mobo: some cheap chinese mini itx with only 2 sata ports that i don't even remember the manufacturer or model because this was an Hewlett packard pre built piece of shit that i had to buy those radeon cards because the old small GPU that was there when i got it barely ran call of duty..

Ram : 8Gb gddr3 or what ever it was.

Storage: Hitachi 2TB 7200 rpm HDD

PSU: was some integrated 460watt piece of trash.

So now im looking for a new case, new PSU, new mobo that supports the i7 2600k cpu and has enough PCI-E slots to run both of my radeon 7850 cards, 120Gb ssd and maybe upgrade the ram because my old PSU and mobo fried due to a little accident and i had it checked in some repair shop and the guy said that everything else is still functioning correctly except the mobo and psu are fried up.

So i have 450$ to put on new mobo, case, psu, ssd and maybe ram MAYBE.

Also at this time next year im looking to upgrade those radeon 7850 gpus i have right now but it's a year ahead so it doesn't matter that much other that the new PSU shoud be able to handle more power consuming cards than the ones i have now.

What shops am i using?: The ones that ship to Finland IF i don't find the parts you guys are recommending for me from here close to same prices.

Hope this clarifies something.

If the memory you have is good and works in the motherboard you can come in nicely under budget. If you can find the parts at better prices you may even be able to squeeze in an SSD.

Thanks dude.

Just found out a pretty cool thing or at least i think is pretty cool, that jimm's store has moved and it's now literally 500 yards away from my home right now.

I guess Linus wasn't bullshitting when he said that the tech tips community forum is mainly filled with good people.

The site uses euros.

Is the $450 converted or do you just mean 450 euros?

How much is the nzxt Source 210 in your country. Get that and a ATX mobo (good brands are Asus, MSI, Gigabyte) that says is socket LGA 1155. The Source 210 is a good and cheap case.
