For a gamer like myself, who isn't all that great but who is looking to improve, and who games in quiet surroundings, what would be the best mechanical keyboard switch for me? Thanks!

Nothing clicky like blue switches (if you are worried about noise), you could go with brown switches + rubber O rings for example.

I can't just suggest you the best switch because its all about personal preference.

Here are the most commonly used Cherry Mx switches.

Read all the description and decide it for yourself.

Or better try them on your local store and find the one that suits you the most.

Fyi Logitech use Romer G switches which is faster than red (Shorter actuation distance) but its tactile non clicky switch.

 

Also if u are a Quiet freak dont buy a mechanical keyboard unless u want to spend extra cash for O-rings or Switch rubber damping.
