Hi everyone, I've got a Corsair H100i on the way and it's my first liquid cooling loop of any kind. I've looked around and can't seem to find clear guides of what I should do to test it?

I'm in no rush to get it up and running and I wanted to be very careful with it since it's being shipped internationally.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

it comes prefilled, don't change the fluid.

Just to add on to @Prophet of Entropy you cannot change the fluid due to the tubing being not resealable to a proper fashion.

What you're looking for is a swiftech h220/h320. Corsair and everybody else that followed them are closed pre-done liquid cooling cpu kits.

Mounting is pretty simple. Make sure you have the correct spacing between fans 120mm with the correct holes.Aline the screw holes with the 240mm radiator and put the fans on the side that is aesthetically best looking or push/pull, place the backplate to the back of the cpu motherboard cut out. Ask a sibling or parent to hold it in place. Screw it into place.

...

Just read the manual :)

Just slap it in, follow the install instructions closely, be sure to mount the CPU block well. When testing for temps, run RealTemp/CoreTemp/Speccy/whatever other app you like with Prime95 stress test. Leave it sit there for at least an hour to reach the maximum heat. If temps go over 80*C you can start getting worried.

Install it, turn the computer on and run prime95 for awhile and if your temps are good the unit is good, unless there's strange noises. If all is good just wait for it to die in few years.

Thanks everyone, but I didn't mean on it's performance at cooling as much as just making sure there are no leaks when the pump starts going.

Is plugging it in without mounting it on the CPU enough to have it run outside my system for a couple hours?
