Making 2.1 Setup with speakers and misc. Sub w/ 9pin mini-DIN input

I have a old crappy subwoofer from a little 2.1 Cyber Acoustics setup. the speakers are gone. I have some small desktop speakers with a 3.5mm analogue input. I'd like to combine these to make a 2.1 setup. The sub has a 9 pin mini-Din input. I'm thinking if there were something that did this, it would be some usb dac with some analogue out(could be RCA) and the 9pin out for the subwoofer or some passive splitter that somehow splits the frequencies for the stereo speakers and the sub. Anyone know of a way to do this?
