Enable features in Nvidia control panel problem

So under 3D settings there are many options, the two I'm looking at are MFAA and Fast sync. I can enable them in the control panel for sure, but do games actually use them? All the games I played didnt mention Fast sync or MFAA in their graphics settings menu, so I dont know if they are actually in use. Does the driver apply them automatically so all I need to do is enable Vsync and Anti-aliasing (for those which doesnt specify the AA type)? How about those that do allow multiple types of Vsync and AA settings, how should I set them to?  Any help is appreciated

Any setting you change in a graphics driver control panel should apply to every game you run regardless of whether it has an ingame setting that matches it. The only exception is when a game has a force-override rule in place for compatibility reasons.

For NVidia cards, you can use a tool called NVidia Inspector to see in MUCH detail exactly which settings are overridden by default for each game the driver has a profile for.

Edit: half my post was cut off.

With regards to AA settings and the like, that's really up to you - it's a tradeoff between performance and quality, and some people might be happy with low AA so long as they get 60+ fps, whereas some people are happy with 40FPS with everything dialled to the limit. It's really your call based on how you like your games to look/play.

Some games respond really badly to some of the weirder AA settings, so experimentation could be called for, since they'll also have different impact based on the rest of your system.

The settings will be set by the driver, not the program. They should work flawlessly, but some settings may cause issues if your system can't handle it.
