So I came across a outta the blue bottleneck to my gpu, about 4 days ago I could play bf4 and not see it dip below 90 FPS and both my fx6300 (4.5ghz) and r9 280 (1100 core 1400 mem) would both be in at high usage at all times when I’m playing games but one day my gpu wouldn’t go above 60% avg in the 50% usage but my cpu normally in 70-80% like normal I’ve run both at stock and re sat my gpu and ram but still no luck I need help!!!  Also, a side note, when I’m in the test range on bf4 looking out into the distance GPU usage, goes back up but when I get to the targets the usage drops. the bottom pic is my GPU VS CPU my CPU stayed in the 80-90% but my GPU 40-58% the spikes are when I died and there wasn't anything to really render

Are you still getting the same FPS? If so i wouldn't even worry about the usage of the GPU.

When you're on the target range there's less distance and objects to render compared to when looking out into the map, which is why usage is lower in that situation.

Usage should never change in actual online gameplay. Run a unigine benchmark and see how it does. I tend to do a clean install of drivers if I run into some issue.

No the fps are 100% different before they both stayed closely together in % wise, I've done everything from going back in drivers and downclocking even stock but GPU won't go above 50% in any game I play I made sure Vsync was off in both game and AMD settings

the fps change ill go from 140 to 50fps and it bounces around depending whats going on and even maps I know I shouldn't dip below 100 I get down to the 30s

Alright here’s everything I figured out I wasn’t getting the performance from something that I have no clue I didn’t have malware or a virus I ran many searches and so after that restarting to a fresh install of windows obviously did the trick because can’t go wrong with that so now my gpu stays at 90% and cpu 80% like it should be and just had to redownload everything grrrrr all in all everything is okay
