I contacted MS support and the fixed it! Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone,

I forgot my PC password and want to reset it. I changed it on the microsoft site but it still doesn't work. Now I saw that you can change your password while going into 'computer management' but when I click on my account (the only one) it gives me the message there will be data loss and data will be encrypted. How does this work? Will I lose any data and if so what?

okay, so you log in to Windows with a MS account? 

 

make sure the pc you're logging into has internet, or else it won't see the password change you did.

It logs in automaticly. I think I log in with my microsoft account because in settings > accounts > my info it shows my microsoft account.

If I log into my MS account in a browser it shows my PC as a device so I'm sure it's connected right?

Sorry I was focused on my final exams for the past two days. Glad to know you got it sorted out by Microsoft. Usually their support is pretty rubbish outside of activation.
