FPS DROPS on my friend's gpu

So my friend was using his gpu for a very long time and it was always working prefectly until recently when he started getting these MAD fps drops on every thing that he plays on.

his Gpu: MSI GTX 950 Armor 2GB

His drivers are all up to date (checked them)

and he didnt do any overclocks.

please help my friend fix this, he cant afford a new GPU.

Check the usual stuff, like clock speeds, temperature, usage etc. I suspect the thermal paste on the graphics card's core to have dried up, causing overheating and thermal throttling, which hurts performance

Cinebench R15 Single thread:168 Multi-thread: 833 

SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s

yea it sounds like it needs new thermal paste. 

i spent $3500(23,000dkr.) on building my pc and i only play csgo on low settings..
