Hi,

I bought some trident Z RGB ram today and set Aura to color cycle I read some things online about these ram kits SPD's getting corrupted so I ran Thaiphoon burner and scanned the ram and one came back with a CRC error and the other ok but each time I scan them it gives a different reading sometimes ok sometime crc error so I can't tell if my kit is broken or not or has Gskill fixed this RGB issue now?

Well, do they actually cause any problems for you, or are you just sweating about something that isn't causing you any trouble?

The computer is running as normal it's just coming back with CRC errors when I scan the memory which supposedly means the SPD's are corrupted according to other posts i'm just concerned that they will get worse and eventually start causing issues where I only got them today I can return them a lot more easily than if I wait for issues to develop. I don't even know if the whole Aura and Gskill ram issue has been fixed yet or if it's just thaiphoon burner sucks at scanning ram?

If the BIOS and e.g. CPU-Z can see the SPD-profiles without an issue, I'd say the problem is with your Thaiphoon Burner. Also, if you're worried, you should ask the manufacturer about it, they'll know a lot better.

Hi mate, I had the same issue but for me as well, SPD on CPU-Z seems to be fine and I ran the memtest and it shows zero errors on the memory. Could you tell if you faced any problems? And if you fixed it, how'd you do it? Thanks!
