Need help telling the difference between storage solutions for nas?

so  was on amazon looking for a drive for and couldn't tell the difference between:

to someone with very little computer experience,  they all look the same but have different prices, which would indicate differences in the product.

 

Also, i was looking to pair them with this:

tho I thought this one was better

I was also wondering about how Linus talked about needing a computer to manage these storages

The first and third IronWolf HDDs are the same. The second one is an IronWolf Pro drive (thus "more professional/higher end").

They should both have a three year warranty, the OEM drives are just likely in generic packaging.

which one would you recommend for the enclosure, and what kind of computer should I use for managing the media

I would go for one of the 4 bay NAS'es... 2 bays with mirroring isn't just not enough space =P

 

I would always go for a 4 bay and configure a raid 5 on it. Which of them both depends on what you want to do with it. Use a lot of the "server" capabilities like databases and webserver etc.pp get the one with a more potent cpu and more ram.
