Hey guys, just finished a new PC build but I'm having trouble installing windows 8, I can go through the setup, put in my CD key, then i get an error saying it cannot find storage device, baring in mind this is a brand new SSD drive and 1tb mechanical, I have checked BIOS but even then it cannot find my Storage devices.

Tried every SATA3 port on the board, tried using a HDD with windows preinstalled but it still can't find it.

Sorry if this looks messy, sending it from my tablet.

If the BIOS doesn't see either storage device then check that the units are connected to the appropriate SATA ports and also have power from the power supply. If it's a modular psu, make sure both ends of the cables are plugged in - this from experience :) .

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

This. And check that Sata ports are enabled. They should be by default but you never know. If your BIOS doesn't see drives then theres no change of windows or any other install seeing them.
