Hi guys

I ran a system stability test on aida64 yesterday but got hardware failure but when i dont select system memory it goes perfectly fine.

What is the problem and do i have to change my ram? ( please no if i dont have to)

anyone help pls. I think this is why my games are crashing.

Run Windows Memory Diagnostic or MemTest86 to be sure it's a memory issue.

I completed the test and got no error. So i believe its because of software or settings?

And people still wonder why I've already chose my next build to be Intel based rather than AMD. Ryzen seems like a pain in the ass to work with. Probably the first modern platform I've heard that throws a hissy fit at almost anything.

truth is, all amd products are a pain to work with to get stable :v

it depends per rig but there are some secondary timings that u can loosen up to be able to boot with different settings, i forgot the exact name id have to reboot for that xD, its similar to refresh rate but then with somthing else ( its not refresh rate however )  numbers go in like 250-500ish :v

I mean my current 890FX build has been pretty solid for the past 6 years. Of course there has been issues but most seem to just be Windows being Windows.

Apart from the entire thing just failing when it tried to solve a 5000x5000 matrix on MATLAB. Never stress tested the overclock long enough for that sort of workload.

to me i run prime95 atleast 24hours on both filling the ram and small fft to ensure a chip is stable, i dont trust anything else anymore bcoz i once ignored prime and crash in the end anyway

I ran it for that 30 minutes and deemed it good "enough". And it was fine for anything I threw at it (even video rending)... until MATLAB came along. :P

i think everyone who avoids prime95 to say, it stresses to much dont know what their doing xD p95 only does calculations, if it cant succeed then chip aint stable, linus also went to aida64... i once tried aida and all i got was UNSTABLE OC'S   tried every stress tool possible other than p95, p95 crashed, rest didnt > boom still bsod after a hour or two xD
