Helping my buddy

This could be tricky but my buddy has a computer he is upgrading but has to reinstall the OS, he has windows 7 on it but has no install disc and did not take the free upgrade to windows 10. So unless there is a way he can still get windows 10 or find his product key and a windows 7 install disc then I am not sure what he can do. Any advice?

The windows 10 media creation tool is still available and should work though December of this year.

Just did this for a work colleague about 2 weeks ago on a machine with windows 8.1

Sure but he only has a Windows 7 code.... soo
