PC freezes sometimes when it goes to sleep or shuts down

PillowFortEngineer

Hello, I have posted about my problem several months back, on multiple websites and no one knows what it can be, all the lights are on when the pc goes to sleep/shutdown and the fans are running, but nothing else works, its like its frozen. I came to the conclusion that it was the network adapter causing this since i took it out and i ran the pc on ethernet and nothing happen. I switched the adapter and nothing changed. I have changed every setting thatr can deal with the wireless adapter (power options) and nothing works. I came to another conclusion and that's where i need help, could it be a faulty pcie slot? both adapters i have give me the same problems (and they are both compatible), i put them on the same slot as well, and only when there is nothing on the slot does the pc work fine. could this be the reason?
