I am a noob when it comes to VPNs. There are two VPN things I would like to do.

1. Setup a VPN so that I can change my location to Europe or the USA to bypass restrictions in Canada for TV and stuff.

2. Setup a VPN so that I can connect to my computer, NAS, and server from outside the house and across the world.

How would I go about doing these things and making sure that it is all secure? Is something like TunnelBear a good option for this? A friend also told me I could buy a DigitalOcean Droplet and then use that to VPN. Also my router supports OpenVPN.

I am fairly lost on what to do and how to set this up. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Are you using Netflix?

Are you willing to pay

I am not using Netflix. I mean more to watch hockey and sports and stuff. If I buy a hockey package in like Arizona I can watch all the teams except Arizona. If I buy it from where I am I can't watch the teams I want to watch.

I am willing to pay in reason. $10/month sure $50/month no

I don't believe sport's channels block VPN's like Netflix does so just get the best/cheapest one.

I like Express/Vpyr

My life

So using a service like ExpressVPN is can do both things I listed above?

Yes. Private Internet Access or Express VPN are the two I would go for.

I have PureVPN. While it works, it's not really fast as the above two.

The first I know they will do. But the second...I'm not sure if they do remote VPNs (I think they do, but unsure). I've never tried to use it.
