Okay, I have been deciding wether to return to the AMD FX 8350 processor for just 1080p video editing, Gaming, Podcasting and live podcast. I've had owned one FX 8350 paired with a 1050 ti and it was not all that great. But I would like to pair this Processor with the RX 470 graphics card for a better card but on the other hand, I would like to get the Ryzen 5 1600 paired with the RX 470. Do not know what to do? ASSISTANCE! Haha.

Heres the parts I would like to get:
-FX 8350(Slightly overclocked)

-AIO Cooler

-16GB of RAM

-Samsung's M.2 NVME 250gb(Important applications and windows)

-Seagate's 2TB HDD (For storage handling)

-Samsung's SSD 250GB(For other applications)

-RX 470

Just now, Jose Luna said:

Crappy MacBook Air late-2010 Intel's Duo-core with 2GB RAM and a NVidia 250m

So you have nothing then.

Get a 1600 and stick with the stock cooler (as it's usually enough to overclock a 1600), it will be cheaper and far better than an 8350.

My friend has the FX8350 (no OC) and GTX 1060 6GB (no OC) which is definitely more powerful than the RX470 but not by much.

Running Doom on Vulkan which is basically the best scenario since that game is extremely forgiving on the CPU... 1080p Ultra he gets max 80% GPU usage spikes.

In other games he barely touches 60% usage.

Do yourself a favor and get Ryzen. AM3+ platform was dead long ago, now it's just a waste of money.

Even the R5 1400 will destroy the overclocked FX8350.

Depending on the budget, get either a Ryzen 3 or a Ryzen 5, but skip on anything AMD that isn't AM4. Your upgrade path will be dead and you also won't get as much performance for your money
