Hello

I have recently purchased the gtx 1080 ti Palit Super Jetsream and i am loving it. But i was just playing battlegrounds when i noticed that my GPU usage was only 35% max. I thought maybe my CPU was bottlenecking it but that was sat at 50% usage max too. So i was a bit confused. I tried changing the FPS target to max to see if it would push my GPU to 100% but it stayed the same. I was wondering what is going on with this?

Im currently running my games at 1080p and i know that my GPU can do so much better than so im getting a 1440p 165hz moniter this christmas. If i crank up the resolution will my GPU usage increase to maintain a steady FPS counter?

could potentially be the fact that you only have 1 stick of ram which i assume to be DDR3.

Yes it is ddr3, Also forgot to mention that i am getting an extra stick of 8Gb soon too :)

Its been a long awaited upgrade for my PC

PUBG has CPU bottlenecking issues in many areas, particularly the starting zone and a few larger towns. There isn't much you can do to alleviate the issue. You might as well run the game at higher settings and wait for Bluehole to optimize the game further.

Im sure that once you get that extra stick of ram, the gpu usage will go up and you will see a significant fps boost.

The next update is supposed to optimise the game a bit more but we have all heard that before. Will have to see.

They're constantly optimizing it. There's this one optimization guide on youtube that gave me a 50% fps boost. I'll try and see if i cant find it again.

I tried the PTS earlier and saw a decent boost. I don't have exact numbers but it certainly felt smoother. However, there were still areas where my GPU usages was dropping due to optimization issues. The next patch is certainly a step in the right direction, but it's still not perfect. IIRC, the PTS is still up and testing the next patch, but this was a couple days ago and I'm not sure if the PTS is still going.
