So I'm currently in the process of building/upgrading my rig.

I'm going from an FX-8350 to the R7 1800x which I will be pairing with the MSI x370 XPower Titanium.

I'm still using my old graphics card because to be honest, the market is really messed up and I'm not sure what to get.

I want something to go with the theme of the build which is white/silver so I looked at the MSI GTX 1070 Ti Titanium which I would then paint the black parts of white. Is this a viable option?

I'm also thinking of getting the Corsair RM750x White to further my theme as it's only marginally more expensive than getting custom sleeved cables for my EVGA Supernova 750 G2 and I'll be able to use the EVGA for a second build.

This is how the build is constructed at the moment: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9Nr3qk

I'm also using a Corsair Commander Pro to sync all the HD120 fans as well as a Lightning Node Pro for the RGB LED strips.

Last but not least, I live in Sweden where the prices are terrible. Our market prices are approximately 120% to 125% of what the same part costs in the US.

Hei hei.

I don't think the build is at all bad. You're looking at a very nice upgrade. Personally I wouldn't recommend the painting as that could lead to issues with your RMA (should you need it, and you probably will, especially with the EU's policy with returns). I would recommend trying to get the silver Zotac one or the pure white Asus one. Both are decently priced and offer the same, if not better performance than the MSI and would make it so you didn't have to mutilate the card.

I'd get a good PSU, and then some nice Cablemod cables to go with it, instead of spending extra for a white PSU.

I don't mind spending a little extra for the white one as it is clearly visible since both sides of the case are in TG. I have a black one installed at the moment and I personally think it doesn't do the rest of the system justice. My alternative is to get a cablemod kit for my G2 Supernova for about 100 USD but then I'd have to buy a second PSU anyway for the other build which in this case would be like a EVGA 500W B2 or similar and then I'm well above the original price for just getting the RM750x White

I've been looking at the KFA2 HOF but that card is very hard to get in my region. I'm not too scared about painting, I've done it a couple of times before with a plastic based spray paint. I've always contacted the manufacturer if I needed to RMA the card and asked if I could leave the paint on or not and removed the paint in one instance which wasn't much harder than peeling a banana. I know that the ASUS Dual is white but I don't quite like the overall design of it and aesthetics are really important to me so therefor it's not an option.

Regarding the Zotac ones, I assume you're referring to the AMP! cards. Those are a bit too black for my taste so I would probably want to paint that as well if I even had the opportunity to get one that isn't a 1080 Ti.

I see and understand. Totally cool, taste is subjective. Then with all that, I would just say "go with what your wallet, your better half (if applicable), and your heart tells you and have fun."
