My Ryzen5 1600 has 8 cores 16 threads !

I bought a Ryzen 5 1600, and I noticed that it has 8 cores instead of 6 cores.

My cpu shows 8 cores 16 threads in every program even in the bios but it is named AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor.

Did AMD forgot to deaktivate 2 cores of my CPU? Or what went wrong? Am I Lucky AF?

Apparently there are some Ryzen 5 1600/1600Xes that made it out into the wild without having the last two cores locked. Congratulations, you have a rare and odd CPU.

Thats nice it performs between a ryzen 1700 and 1700x, so do i have a ryzen 1700y ? xD

Yeah They talked about it they all came from 1 plant fucking up orders

I heard there is a "problem" in the plant in malaysia where it puts R7 dies onto R5 manafacturing line or something like that.

 

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

Nice meme. I thought my I5-3550 was cool because no matter how hard I try it always runs at 3.5ghz hoping that means I can up its base clock to 4.0ghz even though it's not a "K" i5.
