Ryzen Compatibility with Ripjaws V

Go to solution Solved by Hello98765,

My old build was a 1500x on a B350 PC MATE with Ripjaws V 3200Mhz..... It would only run at 2667Mhz.

I put those sticks into my little brothers Asus Prime B350-Plus MoBo and the RAM would run at 3000Mhz with no problem.

Hello guys.

I'm planning on buying a new CPU+RAM+MB combo this christmas. But since Black Friday got some really nice prices in my country I'm thinking in buying right now the motherboard or the RAM.

There are Ripjaws V 2400MHz CL15 (2x4GB DDR4) with -40€. It is a bigger amount of money that I'm saving instead of the motherboard (which there is like an Asus B350M Prime Plus at -20€).

The problem is that in the store's website it says that Ripjaws are the best for Intel and bla bla. That made me wonder if it will have any compatibility issues with Ryzen, so I've checked some MSI and Asus' boards QVL and none of them has that RAM nr (F4-2400C15D-8GVR) in it.

That means that this ram isn't compatible with Ryzen or should I just go and buy it because, since it is DDR4, it will run in any B350 motherboard?

Best regards and thank you!
