So I plugged my Google Pixel into my PC to charge as it seemed find but then I got a notification saying the USB device is not recognised so I plugged it in to a different port and it said there was a power surge on that port which I have never seen before. I then plugged the charger into my Apple Ipad power brick which I have done for the past 7 months and after 10 minutes I noticed the phone wasn't charging and the USB C end was extremely hot. I tried the other charger the phone came with and it didn't charge. Does this mean the USB C port on the phone is dead?

UPDATE: there is a burning smell from either the USB C end of the charger or the USB C port on the phone so I shut down the phone and unplugged the charger

Ports fucked, and the phone hasn't got wireless charging.

Should still be under warranty. I'll RMA
