Computer restarting

Kailow

I've run into an issue with my new rig and the installation of windows.

Spoiler

System specs are:

Ryzen 5 1600,

Rog Strix B350-F Gaming Asus Mobo

8gig×2 Gskill TridentZ rgb DDR4 ram

XFX RX580 8gig

1tb SSD

And A Evga 1000 GQ gold plus modular psu.

After passing bios into the boot, I uave about 3-2 minutes to di amything before it restarts, no blie screen of death or anything. This is not enough time to check temps but bios says everything is cool. Mobo at 25c Cpu between 41c and 32c, PCH at 39. Not enough time to check the gpu temp

And its only while windows is booting bios lasts until restarted etc.

I didnt screw with any voltage or bios settings and windows does boot fully to desktop.

I should add that I was encountering the unexpected reatart loop and fixed it by changing the setup.exe from 1 to 3 in regedit, that got me to the desktop

Try 1 stick of RAM at a time to see if one of them is causing an issue.

Ok Nevermind that, removimg the B-1 sootted ram (3rd slot from left to right) seems to have worked, but slotting that same ram into A2 (2nd slot) did not help, is the chip bad or the slots on the mobo?

That's tough to determine unless you have an extra memory kit lying around

I spoke too soon, I think it just lasted that little bit longer, it also seems like the moment I start typing it crashes and then the oramge light by thr ram changes from green to orange and starts flashing. Rhen the mouse and display die but it doesnt restart. I tried both sticks in all sockets.
