Hi all,

So I have a slight issue that started after a couple of power losses (The machine was plugged into a surge protector if that makes a difference) where there seems to be no video output from the machine, whatsoever. I tried using the integrated video as well, with no luck. The weird this is that the machine seems to have booted into Windows, because holding the power button to shut it off seems to take longer than I would expect if it was stuck at a BIOS screen. I believe that I've confirmed the GPU not working, but then again, I tested it in a system that is in unknown condition... ugh. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I would really appreciate it. If specs would help, or if you need more specifics, let me know.

Have you confirmed the monitor is working and is set to the correct display, i.e. HDMI or DVI, etc.?

Have you moved the graphics card to a different PCIe slot to "reset" the BIOS configuration? This might flush an IC somewhere.

Tried a different display port on the graphics card?

Mini-ITX, so only 1 PCIe slot

Tried both HDMI and DVI

Does your CPU have integrated graphics on board? What is the CPU model?

Have you pulled the GC out and run it on internal graphics? When you try this, do a power cycle so the BIOS picks up the graphics change. This may also revert to integrated graphics if they were disabled in the BIOS, depending on manufacturer.

It does. It's an i7-2600 in an ASUS H61 board. I haven't tried using integrated graphics with the GC pulled out of the system. Maybe that and them a CMOS reset? I just need this to work for a few more months ?

Yes. I don't know your board but I disabled integrated graphics on mine and it will 'not' reboot to iGPU without a BIOS reset. So yes, reset that afterwards.

If that works, you can reset your GC, switch the monitor cable to the GC and see what happens.
