I have a gtx 660 and a i7 860 what should my next upgrade be?

 

Should i buy a gtx 1060?

Or should i buy an i5?

Also, you can go for the new i5 K version, or the new i7 K version. Those are beasts.

Unless he does very CPU intensive tasks a new CPU with a GTX 660 is going to be bottlenecked much more than a GTX 1060 with an i7 860. That's still a pretty capable 4c/8t cpu that will easily handle most games with very little bottlenecking.

I have a 1080p monitor and i want to play at high settings...

 

Im focused on 60fps at 1080p.

 

I also have 2x4 gb ddr3 1333 ram but i also have a 4gb 1600 corsair vengeance stick would i be able to swap one 2gb dimm out for the 4gb without any issues?

 

My rig is also purely based on gaming.
