would a chip set cooler make a difference ?

i am using a gigabyte Ga-78lmt-usb3 motherboard and the north bridge chipset get to around 55*c.

would a chipset cooler be any use to me?

i always thought they where just another small pointless fan that collects dust and the bearings wont last long (for the size of the fan) but some people have said they made a difference.

thanks.

55 degrees is nothing too worry about so just leave it as it is :)

Unless you are going for 2800MHz+, you don't need additional cooling.
