monitor not turning on

Hello,

 

I am trying to hook up a second monitor. I think I hooked everything up correctly and windows detects a second monitor and yet it does not turn on. The second monitor does not display anything. When I try to turn it on it says "no signal".

press the buttons on the monitor untill you find a menu and manually select that input ur using
