I recently upgraded my computer by changing out the CPU, motherboard and Ram. My current specs being

A few days after I had changed my parts, my computer started making loud noises, so I opened it up and checked what made the sound, its was the PSU. Now the PSU had never made this noise before even when it was in my old computer. I realised that if I turned it on its side it would stop making the noise but then 5 mins later the noise would comeback. This was also occurred if I turned it back up 90 degrees. Eventually at some point the noise went away for good. Skip to 3 months I  turned my computer back on (usually have it running 24/7 and restarting it when needed) after leaving it off overnight, and it started to make the noise again. So I am wondering if this is something serious.

PS. after leaving it on for an hour the sound went away.

Seems like an old PSU fan - I'd guess ball bearing.

I'm not sure if The Issue would be serious or not; for the fan being loud by its self is fine, but if it fails the PSU could heat up and malfunction.

I'd stay away from replacing the fan yourself. PSUs, if worked on wrong, can kill you.

If you want to get a new PSU, take a visit to the PcPartPicker, choose a PSU, and then check what tier it is on the PSU Tier List. I'd recommend a Tier 3 or better.

Not sure how many moving parts a PSU has. Would be my bet the fan bearing is going bad? Try restricting the fan before you turn it on, or stop it when the sound is present.

Normal PSUs have all of 2 real moving parts - The PSUs fan and the power switch.

I'd just generally not recommend stopping the PSU fan. There are other safer ways to test if the fan is making the noise (such as running a stress test to increase power draw and see if the noise raises in pitch or strength).
