Well if you want an all in one solution, wireless and easy I'm sure the steel series headset would do just "fine" but if your looking for more of an "experience" the DT990's and 880's or anything posted above will probably put a bigger smile on your face especially for music, positional audio will be great with the open back style of these headphones as well.

BUT you will absolutely need a AMP/DAC for those headphones as they are (correct me if im wrong) at least a 200 ohm impedance which your computer on board audio would not be able to handle well and you would not be utilizing the headphones to the potential they have.

Correct me if i am wrong but the amp/  dac will only be needed for the DTs i think the senheissers and AT's will run fine right? My M50s work straight off a phone or computer

Beat me to it I just edited the post before you posted that haha!

But yes the Senheissers and AT headphones will be fine from anything like a computer or smartphone etc. these do not require a DAC/AMP but obviously any headphone would benefit being powered by a stand alone amp. I think these headphones are around 50-60 Ohms..

wouldnt a higher ohm-ed hedaphone work better then a lowered ohm ? 200>60?
