Hello everyone,

I'm trying to reinstall Windows 10 on my 500GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD.

When I get to the part where I can select which partition I want to install it on, here is what I see :

I click on "New", and then "Apply" when it warns me that Windows might have to create extra partitions. This is what I get :

I select that Drive 2 Partition 4, and try to install it. It gets to the next step (where it copies the file) but it stops soon after with this error :

What am I doing wrong? I tried using "diskpart" to format the volume to FAT32 but it says that it's too big.

Thanks for the help!

Make a GParted Live USB and format the partition table to MS DOS I think it is.

You don't need or want to use FAT32, that will limit you to 4gb file sizes.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Edit : I deleted the partitions for the other disks (one of them is a 1TB HDD that I don't use and the other is a 120GB SSD that was empty anyways), I have no idea why but the HDD had like 10 partitions, most of them called "Recovery".

After deleting everything and trying to reinstall on the Drive 2, it seems to work, the setup is running now.
