My grandpa wants me to fix his smart TV so that it connects to the wifi. He had two identical smart tvs. Randomly one day they both disconnected to wifi and as hard as he and I tried we could not get it to connect to the router. It said connection failed. I had the idea of getting a USB wifi card for $8 at Walmart. Do you think this would help?  The tv connects with an Ethernet cord but that is only feasible for one tv. Any ideas?  --- thanks.

This is the adapter we were thinking about getting. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Wireless-WiFi-Network-Adapter-150M-USB-Network-Card-For-PC-Laptop-Wifi-Receiver-External-Wi-Fi-Dongle-Antenna-Black/948041665?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=11110&adid=22222222228097158131&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=216154547964&wl4=aud-310687321802:pla-347289903243&wl5=9011519&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=117088756&wl11=online&wl12=948041665&wl13=&veh=sem

You might want to look at power line adapters. My sisters smart tv one day stopped seeing WiFi signals all together. She ended up with a Fire stick. But, if they work wired, then I would just look at some power line adapters for the second TV. As I dont think most TV manufactures have USB WiFi adapters in mind. Another option is a wireless bridge. You can do this with some routers with Third party firmware, some routers out of the box or just buy a wireless bridge. It will connect to the TV via Ethernet and connect to the router via WiFi. Wireless bridges were designed for devices that did not have WiFi. So it might also be solution.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
